 The Central Coast Montessori School is located on a semi-rural two and a half acres in Wamberal on the Central Coast of N.S.W (10 mins from Terrigal Beach).
Our Goal
To provide an environment where families come together to deepen their understanding of the development of life in childhood through to adulthood. A place where children and parents alike are nurtured and supported on their individual and communal journey through life.
A place that promotes and encourages reflection, thought, analysis, creation and observation, a place of honesty, acceptance, appreciation, trust and belief through non-judgment and understanding.
We aim to create a place, a “casa” (a house) where children feel ownership/responsibility and belonging, a space within which through spontaneous, purposeful activity the children become part of a community that facilitates learning.

Education of the individual
The school upholds that each child is an individual and thus we promote a child-centred approach to learning within a prepared environment, utilizing an educational model that supports and nurtures the realization of each child’s potential.
Within mixed age classes we promote a non-competitive atmosphere where the adult acts as guide/facilitator – observer, offering direction when required and stimuli that appeals to the child’s individual interests and sensitivities.
Throughout each stage there is a focus on the development/acquisition of independence specific to the growing child.
Stage 1: 0-6years – physical independence – “help me to do it by myself”
Stage 2: 6-12 – intellectual independence – “help me to think for myself”
