Sakura 
PARENT & CHILD PREPARATION PROGRAM – 2-3 YR OLDS
(2017 PROGRAM FULL. WAITLIST AVAILABLE)

This program is designed for children from the age of 2 years and is a PREREQUISITE prior to entering the Stage 1 program. Children attend class with a parent, offering families an opportunity to:

  1. Experience a Montessori Prepared Environment.
  2. Gain a deeper understanding of the Montessori Method.
  3. Make an informed decision about choosing a Montessori Education.
  4. Prepare to embark upon their journey in Stage 1.

We currently offer a class on a Saturday morning, running for an hour and a half. All classes MUST be booked prior to attending and Stage 1 placement priority is given to families who attend this program.

Feileacan
STAGE ONE – 3-6 YR OLDS
(2017 POSITIONS ARE FULL)

This program is for children who are between the ages of  three and six, toilet trained and show readiness (Please note, Sakura is a PREREQUISITE for ALL children prior to entering Stage 1)

We facilitate two communities, in essence splitting the week in two:

PETALOUDA Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (If attending three days)
PAPILLON Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (If attending three days)

By the age of 4 all children attend class for three days, however young children transitioning initially attend a minimum of two ‘half day’ sessions until such a time that they display readiness to attend full days.

Attending for 3,4 or 5 Days

Aside from our standard two or three day enrolment, where available, children can attend for: 4 full days (Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri) and 5 full days (where developmentally ready or in preparation for attending school)

A Montessori prepared environment at each stage of development, is a three year program. Each of these years play an important role in each child’s development. Throughout the last year of Stage 1, a child will expand his/her work, particularly as their skills in the areas of mathematics and language develop, they also take on the challenge of becoming social role models and guides.
